$40,000 Grant Awarded to Develop Winning App

EAST PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/03/15 -- Finjan Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: FNJN), a cybersecurity company, today announces the expansion of the Finjan Mobile Defense Challenge 2015 (MDC 2015). Drawing from its history in developing behavior-based cyber security solutions, the focus of the competition is to promote innovation, cybersecurity education, and the entrepreneurial spirit.

"With MDC 2015, Finjan is celebrating its 20th anniversary by returning to its roots with the goal of inspiring a new generation to develop revolutionary security solutions to combat the growing number of cyber threats."

FINJAN IS OFFERING A $40K GRANT TO THE STUDENT OR TEAM OF STUDENTS WHOSE APP PROPOSAL IS SELECTED FOR DEVELOPMENT. ELIGIBILITY

MDC 2015 is open to all enrolled undergraduate and graduate college students or teams enrolled at any of the 28 eligible universities: Arizona State U; California Institute of Technology; California Polytechnic State U; Chapman U; Claremont McKenna College; Harvey Mudd College; Loyola Marymount U; Pepperdine U; Pomona College; San Jose State U; Santa Clara U; Simon Fraser U; Stanford U; U of Arizona; UC (all 10 campuses); U of Maryland, College Park; U of Oregon; U of Southern California; and U of Washington.

PRIZES

Finjan MDC 2015 will award the top three finalists, including the winner, an iPad (WiFi). The winner will also receive a $40K Grant for developing the winning app, have access to a professional app developer who will serve as a mentor and assist with developing a budgetary and technical project plan, and a possible offer for internship with Finjan.

Registration: Monday, June 15, 2015
Submission of Proposals and supporting materials: Tuesday, June 30, 2015
Selection of three finalists announced on Tuesday, July 7, 2015
Winning App Proposal announced on Wednesday, July 15, 2015
